Since 2020, families in Chatham County and surrounding areas have trusted the UNC Health Chatham Maternity Care Center (MCC) for exceptional childbirth, postpartum and newborn care. Family Medicine

Our family medicine physicians bring a unique, holistic approach to maternity care by supporting patients through pregnancy, delivery and beyond. With expertise in both maternal and newborn health, they provide continuous, personalized care for the entire family — often forming long-term relationships that extend past the postpartum period. Follow-up visits ensure the well-being of both the birthing parent and their baby. Our family practitioners collaborate closely with midwives and nurses to ensure a seamless, family-centered experience. 

Midwifery Care

Our certified nurse-midwives provide in-hospital care throughout labor, delivery and postpartum recovery. We offer comprehensive, personalized support — including a range of pain management options, assistance with newborn bonding and expert lactation guidance to ensure a safe and empowering birth experience.
