UNC Health Chatham Honors Pam Stanley with PETAL Award
for Exceptional Patient Care
UNC Health Chatham is proud to announce that Pam Stanley, Phlebotomist in Laboratory Services, has been selected as the latest recipient of the PETAL Award, a recognition that celebrates Professionalism, Expertise, Talent, and Leadership among team members who demonstrate extraordinary dedication to patients and colleagues.
Stanley was nominated for her compassionate approach, her commitment to patient comfort, and her unwavering support of both her team and the organization. Her nominator—a weekly patient and transplant recipient—shared a deeply meaningful account of the impact Stanley has had on her care experience.
“As a transplant recipient, I come to get my blood drawn weekly. Pam is always the one who draws my blood,” the patient wrote. “She is such a great asset to your team. She always greets me with a smile. She knows it can be stressful, so she chats with me about my family, life, and transplant. It honestly helps relieve my stress. I always look forward to seeing her. She is great at her job and always makes people feel welcome.”
Stanley’s consistent kindness, clinical skill and calming presence reflect the core values of UNC Health Chatham and the purpose of the PETAL Award: to honor team members who go above and beyond to create exceptional patient experiences.
UNC Health Chatham congratulates Pam Stanley on this well‑deserved recognition and extends its gratitude for the exceptional care she provides each day.
