UNC Health Chatham Physical Therapy Named a Best of Chatham 2026 Winner for Physical Therapy

UNC Health Chatham has been named a Best of Chatham 2026 winner in the Health & Wellness category for Best Physical Therapy, a recognition determined by readers of Chatham Magazine.

The annual Best of Chatham awards celebrate local businesses, organizations, and service providers that stand out as community favorites. This recognition reflects the trust patients and community members place in UNC Health Chatham’s physical therapy team and its commitment to helping people recover, regain strength, and return to the activities that matter most.

“We are honored to be recognized by the Chatham community as a Best of Chatham winner for Physical Therapy,” said Melissa Tutwiler, PT, DPT, Director of Rehabilitation Services. “This award is a meaningful reflection of the compassionate, skilled care our physical therapy team provides every day. Our teammates are deeply committed to meeting patients where they are and supporting them throughout their healing journey.”

UNC Health Chatham provides high-quality rehabilitation care close to home for patients and families across Chatham County, with outpatient therapy services available in both Siler City and Pittsboro. Through physical therapy, patients receive support to develop, maintain, and restore movement, strength, mobility, and independence.

In Siler City, the outpatient therapy team provides evidence-based, individualized care for adolescent through geriatric patients. Services include orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation, sports-related care, post-surgical recovery, pelvic health therapy, dry needling, vestibular therapy, and Parkinson’s LSVT BIG training.

Chatham Rehabilitation Services at Pittsboro, located in the UNC Chatham Park Medical Office, offers advanced, evidence-based physical therapy in a hospital-owned private practice setting. The Pittsboro clinic provides specialized care for orthopedic and sports injuries, post-operative recovery, spine and back pain, pelvic dysfunction or pain, balance and coordination concerns, vestibular disorders, concussion, dizziness and falls, lymphedema, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological conditions.

Across both locations, patients benefit from direct, one-on-one sessions, specialized equipment, convenient access, free parking, and ongoing communication with referring providers.

UNC Health Chatham also provides short-term, post-acute rehabilitation services in Siler City. This program helps patients continue their recovery after a hospital admission and supports a safe transition home. Rehabilitation services include physical, occupational, and speech therapies.

The Best of Chatham recognition underscores UNC Health Chatham’s continued commitment to providing trusted, high-quality rehabilitation services that meet the needs of the local community.
